This is the main pathway for skilled workers to immigrate to Canada. Although there's no specific age limit, age can affect your points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Points are awarded based on various factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, etc.
Here's how age affects your CRS score:
Applicants aged 20 to 29 can earn a maximum of 110 points (100 points with a spouse or common-law partner).
Applicants aged 30 can earn 105 points (95 points with a spouse or common-law partner).
Points gradually decrease with age, with applicants aged 45 and older receiving zero points.
While older applicants may have fewer points in the age category, they can compensate through other factors. Having extensive work experience, a high level of education, proficiency in English and/or French, and a valid job offer from a Canadian employer can significantly boost your CRS score.

Work Experience: Accumulating relevant work experience in skilled occupations can earn you valuable CRS points. Even though age-related points decrease after 30, your work experience can still contribute significantly to your overall score.
Valid job offer supported by Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA): Obtaining a valid job offer from a Canadian employer can add points to your CRS score. Explore job opportunities in Canada and secure an offer in a skilled occupation to enhance your Express Entry profile.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Nomination: Some provinces have Express Entry-linked PNPs that allow them to nominate candidates from the Express Entry pool. Receiving a provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points to your score, virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
While age-related points decrease gradually after the age of 30, older applicants can still qualify for permanent residency through Express Entry by maximizing their points in other categories.
