The reason we think the PNP International Student Stream is suitable for many applicants is that language requirements are not mandatory if you have graduated from a public post-secondary institution inside Ontario. You will require an employer to sponsor you with an offer of employment but unlike Express Entry you require no previous work experience and proof of language ability is not mandatory.
Please be aware that of the downsides of this program:
1: They do not accept graduates of most 1 year diploma or certificate programs
2: It’s a PNP points-based pool
3: You will need to work for your employer in the same position until your PR is processed.
If you did study for a 1 year program in Ontario and are not eligible under the conditions set for the international student stream, no problem, just hack your way through the Foreign Skilled worker stream through the Ontario PNP, by having your employer sponsor you for PR if you have 3 years prior work experience in the same role either outside Canada or inside, or a combination of both.

The Masters/Graduate PNP stream is one of our favorite programs for Ontario. The reason for this is that it is the only program in all of Canada that allows you to study any Masters graduate program in a public university in the province and apply for your PR right after graduation, meaning you can actually study for a general MBA (for example at the University of Windsor, Guelph, Ryerson, York or Toronto just to name a few) and be eligible for PR right after graduation without a job offer or any work experience.
This is the only program in all of Canada that offers this which is why it’s our favorite for mature students.
The downside is that you still need to go through the Provincial points matrix and pool to be invited, but if you’ve completed your Masters, you most likely check all the boxes to be invited under this stream for your direct PR. Of course, the same stream is also offered in Ontario for PhD graduates

Finally, we believe the Entrepreneur program in Ontario is an interesting option for the following applicants:
A: This program is open to entrepreneurs from overseas and the interesting part here is, even if you are a graduate international student from any other province, you could technically apply under this stream for your PR too, no limitations or barriers.
B: Another feature of this program is that ANY applicants who are inside Ontario under the ICT, C10 or C11 Federal entrepreneur work permits can also convert to this Provincial Program for Entrepreneurs and obtain their PR without going through Express Entry.
C: The best program to select in this province when applying is the outside Greater Toronto stream which is called the “Succession Initiative” and it is a pilot with half the investment and net worth amounts to become eligible under this stream compared to the ‘inside Greater Toronto’ provincial Entrepreneur program. This is a very viable option for many applicants who do not meet the higher limits of the investment & net worth for inside the city.
