Grenada is a chain of islands in the Caribbean Sea offering direct citizenship and passport through investment since 2013. It offers visa-free travel to 144 countries.
Passport holders of this country can travel visa-free to 115 countries including China. Grenada is the only Caribbean country that allows citizenship to be passed along to investors’ future spouses and children.
There is no residency, language, education, or interview requirements. Parents under the age of 55 can also be included in the application. Babies born to the principal applicant and spouse within 1 year of citizenship issuance to the principal applicant will also be eligible for automatic naturalization.
Investment requirements
There are both cash and real estate investment options are available under the Grenada citizenship investment program as per the descriptions below:
Contribution options:
- Single applicant: contribution of US$ 150,000 to the Grenada government (The National Transformation Fund);
- Main applicant with spouse and up to two (2) dependants: contribution of US$ 200,000 to the Grenada government (The National Transformation Fund).
The above figures will be increased by US$ 25,000 per additional dependant.
Real Estate Investment Options:
- Single applicant: minimum investment of US$ 220,000 if two investors applying concurrently together (each applicant investing US$220,000)
- Main applicant with spouse and upto two (2) dependent children: minimum investment of US$ 350,000;
The above figures will be increased by US$ 25,000 per additional dependant.
Real estate investments must be maintained for a minimum period of three (3) years.
As of April 1, 2019, two investors may share ownership of a unit in a Tourism Accommodation approved project, and invest USD $220,000 each (for a total investment of USD $440,000 in the unit).
Residency requirements
No residency is required at any time before or after citizenship is granted by Grenada.
